Here we've gathered some 18th & 19th century artworks featuring that champion of temptation, lust, sin, & earthly pleasures - the Devil himself (and his imps). The tone ranges from whimsical & amusing to outright macabre, fitting for the subject matter...
The bulk of pieces here are by artists Eugene Le Poitevin, Achille Deveria (both 1830s), and the great Decadent printmaker Felicien Rops (1970s-90s, with few of his non-diabolic works included).
